LS Or Ed Edger has a short celebration: Fried Chicken, then recruited

NEW ORLEANS – Ed Orgeron didn really had time to celebrate.

After a four-hour game at Superdome and a round of media interviews, LSU football head coach went back to his hotel with his wife, Kelly, early on Tuesday and settled for a party of champions – sort of. It was about 2 am.

We have no idea what we will eat after his team defeated Clemson for the national championship, 42-25. Someone gave us some Popeyes fried chicken, so we brought it up in the room, and she ate half of her and I ate the rest. And then we go to sleep.

He said he had about four to five hours of rest before another press conference here about what just happened – and what's next. Another big weekend is scheduled in a few days.
